Slow down, spend some time and enjoy what Port St. Lucie has to offer you only a few miles away.

Port St. Lucie was born out of a fish camp and still maintains much of the small area feel even though itís now home to over 160,000 residents. This area offers a variety of entertainment that you wonít find in areas that are better known, but that doesnít make it any less of a fun place for you to visit. As the home to the New York Mets during spring training and to the St. Lucie Mets minor league team you have an opportunity to enjoy some baseball at Tradition Field nearly every day starting in the latter part of February when the air is a little cooler and the bats are just getting warmed up.

Of course as a fishing town the world famous Indian River Lagoon is a great place to visit when you want to see and catch a wide variety of fish. This area is home to over 4,000 species of plants and animals and has become the breeding ground for some of the most exciting game fish in the region. You can find spotted sea trout, tarpon, red drum, snook and much more in the lagoon and try your hand at catching any of them and bringing in the big catch of the day.

If you decide to head out to the Gulf Stream area you can hire a boat, or bring your own, and head out through the Fort Pierce Inlet and find yourself face to face with some of the most impressive trophy fish in the world. This area is home to sailfish, tuna, swordfish, dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, cobia and many more. You may even pull up a big snapper or grouper who love to hang around the reefs in the area, making your fishing excursion one of fun, exhaustion and the taste of the sea as you get the chance to eat what you caught.

Once you decide to make Port St. Lucie your home, if you need to have a meeting of your clients or your business partners there are a large number of great venues to make this possible. You can book art facilities, golf course restaurants, convention areas, or even some of the natures preserve areas such as the aquarium to not only have a fantastic meeting but also show off some of what you love about the St. Lucie County area that is a beautiful and well-kept secret in the state of Florida.
