Let's take a look at how the 2015 Lincoln MKX compares to the Acura MDX.

VALUE

With a starting price of $38,900 and an array of standard features, you get a lot of bang for your buck with the 2015 Lincoln MKX. The Acura MDX starts at $42,765, almost $4,000 more than the 2015 Lincoln MKX. Features standard on with the base model Lincoln MKX that are not even available as an option on the base Acura MDX include fog lights, rear parking aid, keyless start, and an option for HID headlights, navigation, a premium sound system, HD radio and a heated steering wheel, amongst other amenities. Given all these features, both standard and available, the Acura MDX'S much higher price tag keeps it out of the 2015 Lincoln MKX's league when it comes to value.

ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE

You can't beat what's under the hood in the 2015 Lincoln MKX. A 3.7liter Ti-VCT V6 with 305hp gives the Lincoln MKX its power. A 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle activation is also standard, with RWD and an optional AWD on all trims. The MDX comes with one available engine, a 3.5L 24-valve V6 with 290hp and a 9-speed automatic transmission. AWD is available as an option on specific trims. The larger engine and horsepower definitely give the 2015 Lincoln MKX the edge over the Acura MDX.

WARRANTY

When a vehicle is built to last, you can easily see why it would come with an outstanding warranty, and the 2015 Lincoln MKX has one of the best in its class. A 4-year/50,000 bumper to bumper warranty is standard and coupled with a 6 year/70,000 mile drivetrain limited warranty. Plus, if you get a flat or need any assistance, you'll get peace of mind with 24/7 Roadside Assistance for a generous 6 years/70,000 miles. By contrast, the MDX matches the mechanical warranties but free Roadside Assistance ends after 4 years or 50,000 miles of ownership.
