If you're looking for a premium sedan with a sculpted exterior, comfortable ride and unmatched styling that will turn heads, you've found it in the 2015 Lincoln MKS. The helpful staff at Wallace Lincoln in Stuart, FL, serving Port St. Lucie, Palm City, Vero Beach, and River Park, invites you to come down to our dealership and take a 2015 MKS for a spin. You'll probably want to drive it all the way home!
Let's see how the 2015 Lincoln MKS stacks up against the Ford Taurus.
POWER AND PERFORMANCE
A sleek, contoured large sedan, the 2015 Lincoln MKS is packed with performance. Powered by two available engines, a 3.7L 24-valve V6 with 304hp, or a 3.5L EcoBoost twin turbocharged directed engine V6 with a massive 365 horsepower, you'll get to where you're going quickly in this potent machine. Standard 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle activation will make driving the 2015 MKS even more fun. The MKS also offers AWD as an option. The Ford Taurus has three engines -- a standard 3.5L V6 with 288hp, a 3.5L Turbocharged EcoBoost V6 (for AWD) with 365hp, and a 2.0L EcoBoost Inline-4 with 240hp. Considering the V6 standard engines in both the MKS and the Taurus, the Lincoln MKS' 304 horsepower and 279 pound-feet of torque @4000 rpm is more powerful than the Taurus 288hp and 254 pound-feet of torque @ 4000 rpm. That said, the 2015 MKS still provides comparable fuel efficiency, getting an estimated 19/28 city/highway mpg, while the Taurus comes in at 19 city/29 highway.
LINCOLN MKS STANDARD FEATURES VS FORD TAURUS STANDARD FEATURES
Aimed towards the luxury market, the 2015 MKS really excels in the features department. Standard features giving this car its amazing good looks include dual chrome exhaust tips, 19-inch painted alloys, HID headlamps and LED taillights, fog lamps, and stainless steel moldings. Inside the cockpit you'll be treated to SYNC with MyLincoln Touch with Bluetooth, a rear camera and 8-inch touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio, cruise and phone controls, a universal garage door opener, leather seats, and a laundry list of features too numerous to mention. The Ford Taurus doesn't feature auto climate control, comes with cloth seats and 17-inch standard wheels, and only includes SYNC with MyFordTouch as an option.
MKS WARRANTY COMPARED TO TAURUS WARRANTY
Again, the 2015 MKS beats the completion with 2 years/40,000 miles of free maintenance, a 4-year/50,000 mile basic warranty, and 6-year/70,000 drivetrain limited coverage as well as Roadside Assistance for that same period of time. The Taurus does not offer free maintenance, has a year less of basic coverage and only 5-year/60,000 miles of roadside assistance and drivetrain coverage.
