2015 Lincoln MKC Vs Ford Escape

Serving Port St. Lucie, Palm City, White City, Jupiter, FL

Published March 23, 2016

It is possible to find sporty luxury in a family compact crossover, and that's exactly what the 2015 Lincoln MKC represents. An SUV that can transport your family safely and is fun to drive. The friendly salespeople at Wallace Lincoln in Stuart, FL, serving Port St. Lucie, Palm City, River Park, and Vero Beach, would like you find out for yourself. Come to our dealership and let us put you behind the wheel of a 2015 MKC today!

Let's see how the 2015 Lincoln MKC stacks up against the Ford Escape.

It's important to note that the MKC and Ford Escape are owned by the same parent company, so the MKC is built on a similar platform as the Escape. But that's where the comparison ends, as the 2015 MKC has a gorgeous, streamlined aerodynamic exterior that takes elegance to a new level. With its signature Lincoln sloping front grille and aggressive bumper, and a one-piece taillight that extends the width of the tailgate, the 2015 MKC is far sportier, more luxurious and has a flowing exterior. By contrast, Escape's is slightly boxier, has more of a cut-off front grille and tailgate, and doesn't have the contoured lines of the 2015 Lincoln MKC.

You and your family will be riding in elegance in the 2015 MKC, but under the hood, there's fuel efficiency and power that defies its panache. The MKC comes with two available engines 4-cylinder engines, a 2.0L EcoBoost Inline-4 with 240hp and a 2.3L EcoBoost Inline-4 with 285hp. A 6-speed Select Shift automatic transmission with paddle shifts is standard. The Ford Escape comes with three available engines -- a 2.5L Inline-4 with 168hp, a 1.6L EcoBoost Inline-4 with 178hp, and a 2.0L EcoBoost Inline-4 with 240hp and 270 pound-feet of torque. The Escape also comes with standard automatic transmission but without paddle shifters. The clear winner here in power is the 2015 MKC, as its 2.3L EcoBoost will produce 285hp and 305 pound-feet of torque.

Because of its stance in the luxury vehicle market, this is where the 2015 MKC really shines. Standard exterior features include HID headlights, heated power side mirrors, and a remote start engine with keyless entry and start. Inside the well-appointed cabin you'll get a 10-way heated power driver seat with lumbar, Lincoln Luxury Soft Touch seating surfaces, SYNC with MyLincoln Touch and an 8-inch LCD touch screen, and a 9-speaker Premium audio system. By contrast, the Escape comes with cloth seats, a 6-speaker audio system, and standard interior that doesn't match the 2015 MKC in luxurious appointments.
